Maldon & Tiptree FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Tony West as Sporting Director.
Tony will need little introduction to many supporters at Park Drive. He has been associated with the club for around 10 years, serving in several roles, including Vice-Chairman, and working with the club’s youth football setup.
His knowledge of the club, its people and the local football community will be valuable as the new ownership builds for the future.
As Sporting Director, Tony will work closely with the ownership group and Football Directors S. Miah and I. Furtado, providing a link between the owners and the first-team football operation.
His role will reach across the club. Tony will help strengthen the relationship between the senior club and Youth Section, support plans for an under-23 side and women’s football, and work with the new club committee. He will also help build relationships with local businesses, sponsors and the wider Maldon community, and represent the club at home and away matches whenever possible.

“Since taking over the club, we’ve felt it’s important to understand and respect its history.
“Tony has given around 10 years to Maldon & Tiptree. He knows the club and the local area, and he cares deeply about what happens next.
“As we move the club forward, we want to recognise the people who helped build it. Tony has served as Vice-Chairman before and brings experience and relationships that take years to develop.
“His role goes well beyond the first team. We want him to help bring together the ownership, the first team, women’s football, the Youth Section, our supporters, sponsors and the local community.
“We’re building for the long term at Park Drive, and we’re pleased to have Tony alongside us.
