Maldon & Tiptree began a new chapter with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Whitehawk in the first game under the club’s new ownership.
Rhys Murphy put Whitehawk ahead early before Kai Redgrave levelled shortly before half-time. Murphy restored the visitors’ lead in stoppage time, sending Whitehawk into the interval 2-1 ahead.
The Jammers responded strongly after the break. Eze Ebuzoeme converted a penalty in the 64th minute and, two minutes later, Chaynie Burgin completed the comeback to make it 3-2. Maldon held firm through the closing stages to secure all three points.
